Parental Control and Responsible Surfing

Internet is such a huge world to explore but this could not be really safe especially for our kids. This is the reason why i am advising everyone to be more responsible on how they search the web or how they use their personal computers. Pornography sites are just one click away and your kids might accidentally land on their pages before your knew it. I am really impressed with GMA Network's newest online campaign entitled "Think Before You Click" that aims to give awareness to everyone that every click we made on the web has a great impact to someone. Whether it is a form or cyber bullying or the free access to thousands of porn sites, each of these might affect the internet user mentally , emotionally and spiritually.
But of course we cannot monitor our kids everyday and to check them every now and then. Whether they are not intending to visit a certain brazzer site or a website dedicated to provide some brazzer review or any related porn xchange sites.We have to be very responsible about this or else it's too late for us to erase such images from their curious and innocent minds.
I guess the best way to protect them from accessing adult sites or any websites that may affect the way they think, is to activate or install a parental control software on your PC. The Parental Control feature in your antivirus product lets you surf the Web, blocking access to Web pages with violent, racist or similarly inappropriate content.
This is very ideal if your kids own a computer or if you let them use your laptop for awhile. This will give them some sort of restriction to access some offensive sites. Well I am nothing against watching porn, i know the fact that most people, especially men, used to visit such sites for entertainment purposes but it's just that we have to do it in private and we should be very responsible with our actions.

Our Mini Christmas Tree

This is the second to the last project for this month. We will make a miniature Christmas tree from Aluminum foil cylindrical card board and crepe paper.

We need Green Crepe paper, Empty Aluminum foil cylinder card board, plastic cap, glue gun, card board.

Cover the Aluminum foil card board with green crepe paper.

Glue gun it on a plastic cap (should be wide enough to support our Christmas tree.

Cut a small piece of Cardboard and cut the half part into strips.

Glue it around the mid-upper part of the Cylinder.

Cut another piece of card board and do the same process as the first one. (Make the strips longer than the first one.

Now glue it about 2 1/2 to 3 inches away from the first one

Then make another one longer than the second one and glue it on the lower portion of the tree.

For the tip, cut a circle and make a cone out of it. Cut the lower portion into strips.

You should end up something like this.

Now draw Three kinds of leaves on the crepe. They should be Small, medium and large in size. Fold the crepe paper many times to produce many leaves in one cut.

Now start pasting the leaves on each strips. The Small leaves should go with the small strips. Same thing goes with the medium and large leaves.

Now here's the finish product!

Add more layers if you want.

Now add more details to make this tree more colorful.

You can make this as your mini garlands.

Twist it around the tree and there you have it!

Counter Strike and Paintball

Are you guys familiar with "Counter Strike"? It is actually a tactical first person shooter video game and i was really addicted into it. I remember during my high school days, me and my friends used to visit an Internet cafe every after school and play CS (shortened term for Counter Strike) for about 3 - 4 hours. Well i know that's not really advisable especially for students during that age and that is something I am not really proud of hehe.

Anyway, the game has evolved rapidly and mainly because of being so in demand here and abroad. Here, you can join either the terrorist team, the counter-terrorist team, or become a spectator. Each team attempts to complete their mission objective and/or eliminate the opposing team. The game was intelligently made because it will measure or test how well you strategize your game. But if you're tired with video games, you can actually try playing paintball. It is pretty in demand today and just like Counter Strike, you also have the same objective and that is, to eliminate the opposing team. It is more like you're playing the game in real life but it's just that, instead of real bullets , you will be using paintball guns. Obviously, as what the term connotes, paintball guns throw paintballs which will also serve as your bullets. Excitingly, you will be wearing army uniforms in this game as well. Of course, even though they were just paintballs, you are still required to wear safety gears. You need to have a goggle or a mask to protect your head from any possible injury. A mask usually completely covers the eyes, mouth, ears and nostrils of a person. Of course, if you're going to purchase one, make sure you buy the quality one. JT Paintball mask or the JT Spectra paintball mask is actually one of the most ideal equipment to use as it provides extreme quality and durability. As for the clothing, of course, it should be tough and durable as well. Clothing worn for tournament paintballing is constrained by tournament rules, which prohibit thick padded materials likely to adversely affect the chance of paintballs breaking on the target. Aside from guns, there are also paint grenades (which is not allowed in real paintball tournaments), smoke grenades and slingshots.

Comparing Counter Strike to Paint ball , i would rather go to Paintball since you will be playing the game in actual and it is more thrilling and exciting since you will be opposing against real players too.

My Disappointment and my Future Plans

Yay! Finally, i was able to visit this blog again. Sorry guys for being so inactive lately. You do not have any idea how guilty i am right now. My job is killing most of my blogging time and I can hardly find time to blog hop as well. This is very disappointing in my part despite of the back that i should be thankful because i finally have a new job. However, as a consequence, me and my little brother do not have much time to do some art crafts. How I wish i can have more time to spend with my little brother but my schedule is simply killing me.
As you all know, we already have a new blog dedicated for our crafts but until now, it is till not updated sobs.... Anyway, i have to catch things up and I have to manage my time well. As a matter of fact, Milzon and I were planning to visit Manila Ocean Park this month and I promised to take him to StarCity as well.
Manila Ocean Park is an oceanarium located at the Rizal Park behind the Quirino Grandstand. The oceanarium is divided in sections specifically designed to showcase the marine life seldom seen at close range. It comes with diving and snorkeling services that allows you to explore the water without the need to travel to different islands. Very interesting indeed and me and my brother is so excited to hit this place. I will definitely bring the camera with me and will buzz about our trip for sure.
We are also planning to attend a paintball event this coming September. It will be organized by our city government. Though we will not play the actual game, we will still witness the event live. I am not really sure if each participants is required to have their own paintball gun and own uniform or it will be provided by the organizers. Actually I saw a very cool tippmann paintball gun online yesterday and I think it is very ideal to have it in this game. How I wish we could join this event.
This Paintball event is being held to our place once a year so it's pretty exciting to witness such a rare event here in our area. It is pretty in demand you know. I saw some events in Makati as well and almost everyone is into it nowadays. Okay, now I am so eager to try it.. sigh..

Effective Marketing Strategy

Establishing your own business will not give you an assurance that it will be successful in the future. keep in mind that business can be compared in a gamble most especially in the beginning. You can never tell how the people will response to it. It is a Win or Lose Strategy indeed. Managing a business has never been an easy task especially if it's your first time. You might want to consider hiring professionals or asking for expert advises to make your business more successful.
Whether it's a small or big time business, you have to know the best and the most effective ways in marketing to outsell other companies. Whether you like it or not, you have to do your best and compete with other companies. You need a partner that will help you in establishing a very effective business manajemen / management and strategy.
You may not have your desired success in an instant but you can assure yourself that you are taking the right path by doing the right thing.
Establishing a business will not give you assurance or stability unless you continuously applying creative and effective marketing strategy for it. And of course, always look forward to the better side. Have a positive outlook in life and try to be more productive in your work as much as possible. Dragon Origami

I really don't know where to start, but in case you find these photos quite complicated, you can watch the video at the end of this post. The video is not mine, i grabbed it online and this is where i derived my craft today. I will be making a Dragon Origami.
Origami is the traditional Japanese art of paper folding, which started in the 17th century AD at the latest and was popularized outside Japan in the mid-1900s. It has since then evolved into a modern art form. The goal of this art is to transform a flat sheet of material into a finished sculpture through folding and sculpting techniques, and as such the use of cuts or glue are not considered to be origami.

I really don't know how to explain this on details but as i said, you can check the video below.

Ceramic Tiles, Ideal or Not?

I was in an LRT station yesterday when I noticed the flooring being used for the building. As far as I know, these are ceramic tiles. Ceramic tiles is probably the most common and widely used finishing material because of being so inexpensive compare and easy to install. However, despite of being so affordable, ceramic tiles have so many flaws, making it not so ideal every time.
As you can see, Ceramic tiles will not be very attractive if grout is not being placed properly.
Ceramic tiles provide elegance to a room indeed whether you use it for indoor or outdoor purposes. It is very easy to install and in fact, everyone at home can do it with no ease, however, you just have to consider the proper way of installing them and also the right way of applying grout for better and satisfying appearance.
Ceramic are usually made up of clay, thus, the material itself is not durable enough since they tend to become brittle easily. They break or crack whenever a strong force is being applied. Even though they can be replaced easily, you still need the tools for it. Lucky you if you can still find the same style and design that's why it is better to buy some extra tiles.
Anyway, if you have budget, i guess it is much better to use Marble or Granite instead. They might be quite expensive but the quality they provide is very satisfying. And of course, for better result, make sure to deal with a well trusted company like Floform. They are well known in this field and have been in the industry for 50 consecutive years. TIger Papier-mâché

Tadah! It's been awhile seen we last post a craft here in our Art blog. We're done with our Clay Art Theme and we would like to thank you for all your support. We prepared some Halloween crafts for this month, We will post them probably next week. For the mean time, here's a papier-mâché that i made for my niece for her School project. She asked me to make an Animal papier-mâché and ended up having this cute little Tiger hehe.
Papier-mâché is a composite material consisting of paper pieces or pulp, sometimes reinforced with textiles, bound with an adhesive, such as glue, starch, or wallpaper paste.

To start, we need a bunch of Old newspapers, masking tape, Glue, and Acrylic paint. Forming the figure is actually the most crucial part of this art. I had several trials before getting the right form. Honestly, this is my very first successful Papier-mâché art. I tried making a helmet for a cosplay theme before but i failed. Anyway, you can use masking tape to make it more firm and steady.

After getting the desired form and shape, you can now start or apply the Papier-mâché by soaking the small pieces of newspaper into the home made glue (Mixture of flour and hot water). Actually, I am aiming to make a CAT but Milzon starting to tease me because it looks like a Monkey for him. haha Okay! I'm fine with the Monkey so from being a CAT our project turned to a MONKEY. Just continue doing the Papier-mâché until you have covered the entire figure. Make it as smooth as possible.

Let the glue dry first (by the way, if you don't know how to make your own glue, you can use those ready-made adhesive on the market though it is quite expensive than the home-made). After drying, paint you project with White poster or acrylic paint for quick drying.

Set aside the Papier-mâché art first and start tearing a piece of newspaper into small bits. The finer, the better. Soak them into a hot or warm water and mash them by your hands. Next, separate the water from the mashed paper using a drainer. Mix the mashed paper to the right amount of glue. Mash them together.
Now, you can have the tiny details using the that paper-glue mixture. So here, I put on the eyebrows and the whiskers. Let them dry first and re-coat it with white. Funny but after putting the Whiskers, Milzon was convinced that it is really a CAT. So from being a Monkey, we went back to the CAT status LOL
Now paint the Cat of whatever color you desire. Mine is orange. The first idea is to have a Plain orange cat but my mom told me that CAT should have stripes so I was forced to put stripes on my cat. However.......

After putting stripes, Mom told me that it looks like a Tiger and reminds her of Tigger from Winnie The Pooh! What??? So from being a Cat, it turned into a Monkey and went back from being a cat and now it's a Tiger!! hahaha

Anyway, no matter what animal is this, i think i did great and it is my very first Papier-mâché Art so I'm really proud of it yay!

Checking the Roof Before Rainy Season

Time really run out so fast don't you think? It seems that it was just yesterday when my family and I were planning to hit the beach and enjoy the summer and now we have to bear with these heavy rainfalls and series of typhoons. Christmas is quickly approaching too which added more stress because there are so many preparations to do. Well, honestly, i don’t mind dealing with the rainy season, I love it actually, however, rainy season is like the most challenging part of our life too. There are so many things to do before the the rainy season arrives. We have to keep ourselves safe from the threat of the typhoons.We have to check the roof and trace any holes if any.

We have to check every single details of our house, from the roof down to the basement just to make sure that we will not encounter any issues when a super typhoon comes. We do not want another Ondoy to damage our properties so we secure all our things especially during this season.
They said that we will still have the same number of typhoons to come this year but the only difference is, they are much stronger which worries me a lot.
We might have to replace our old roof and hire professional Roofers to handle the job. Currently, we are using Galvanized Iron Sheets for our roof which is probably the most common and the most affordable type of roofing available. It is very inexpensive indeed but it is very prone to rust and leaks too so it tend to be replaced over and over again compare to other materials.

Risk Free Business

I really wanted to start my own business but It seems that i don't have enough courage and confidence to do that. I am aware about the risks and the responsibilities and I know the only way to find out if I will be successful in such field or not is to try it.
Interestingly, I have found this Risk free business in which they called "Import -Export" trading. Here, you just have to import goods from foreign country and sell them in a very profitable yet reasonable price. I know a lot of friends who is in this kind of business and they're doing pretty well on it. I might consider trying this business too but before that, I want to seek some expert advices first.
Or better yet, I will download Perry Belcher's Import Export Book. Perry Belcher is a respectable entrepreneur and a veteran China Importer. He has been in the industry for quite a long time and now, he is sharing his blessings by giving out effective tips and ideas on how to become a successful trader through his eBook which is now downloadable at Amazon.com.
I am really intrigued with this book and I am so eager to know more about this business. I've been looking for a perfect business for a long time and I might find it in the nature of this Import Export Trading Industry! yay!

We Have Made a Wrong Decision

This is the material that we currently have for our Kitchen. We make use of Ceramic tilesfor both our lavatory and Kitchen countertop. Judging the material base on its appearance, I can say nothing against it. We are very satisfied with the outcome and we're really thankful to the worker who took care of our Kitchen renovation. The renovation was held last year and I can tell you how stressing it was because we had to move all the furniture from one place to another and then we had to place them back after.
However, months after the renovation, we started to realized how hard it is to maintain the ceramic tiles. Dirt are being trapped in each corner and they are very hard to be removed unless we use a specialize bleaching solution. We also noticed that the colors are starting to fade, losing its original appearance.
I can actually deal with the dirt and the discoloration but the only thing I dislike about ceramic is its extremely low durability. It is very frustrating to see some cracks in some of our tiles simply because a strong force is being applied to it. Countertop is the highlight of any kitchen and it's pretty sad to see that the appearance of it is being ruined because we have chosen a wrong material. We should have used Granite or Marble instead like those marble san francisco Countertops in California being offered Marble City, a well known granite and marble countertops manufacturer. They have been in the industry for quite a long time and is being patronized by many costumers already because of their amazing service.
We should have choose a good material our Kitchen.

Replacing my Desktop

Yay! I got my new laptop last week though it is not yet open for wireless connection because I don't have any wireless card adapter yet. I might visit a computer shop this weekend. I'm really excited for it. It is not as high tech as those modern laptops but still great enough to support my online works. Though this doesn't mean that I will be leaving my old Desktop computer. As a matter of fact, i am much prefer to use my Desktop computer because it has larger capacity and I can do a lot of stuffs in it than my what my laptop can offer. However, it seems that my desktop computer is quite old and very outdated already because I keep on experiencing Internet issues lately.
Just like last night, I was surprised to encounter a serious error in my Windows, giving me no chance to access my Desktop. I am grateful enough to have a friend who is a technician who offered me his help for free. As far as I my technical knowledge is concern, my friend reformatted my PC to eliminate that serious error. However, as a consequence, all my files has been removed from my hard drive and there seems to be no way for me to recover them since I failed to save some back up copies of those files.
Anyway, it doesn't really matter to me now, having my computer back to it's normal condition is the most important thing. I am working as an online freelance writer so I really need my computer badly. My friend told me that it is advisable to replace my old desktop to a new one. He told me to buy bare bones pc because it will help me to save more money than buying a brand new and complete computer package. I have nothing to worry about assembling the barebone computer because my friend is willing to do it for me.
I might check it online to see some great deals. For the mean time, i will just bear with this old desktop and wait for my wireless adapter card to arrive in order to make my laptop work.

Choosing Tiles For her House

These pictures were taken a year ago and I'm happy I was able to save them hehe. Anyway, these pictures were taken when I was helping my Auntie in choosing the right tile for her house. She was actually renovating her house that time and it just so happened that I was staying with her so I tried to help. We ended up choosing ceramic tiles because this is the only bestmaterial that suits her budget well.

She picked this rosy pick tiles for her Kitchen countertop. Well, I would rather pick granite finishing actually but ceramic tiles wasn't that bad after all. Though I'm not really sure about the quality and how durable it is. They said that granite is much better because it is resistant to any stain or scratches and obviously beautiful and glossy but it is quite expensive and she's afraid her budget wouldn't make it.

This one was used for her Bathroom floor.

While this one is for her terrace. I actually find it cute and it turned out great for her terrace and I think we just made a right decision for it. But if ever we're given a chance to change something that would be the kitchen countertop, she should have use marble or granite instead.

Do you have Dish washing machine in your house? Well, I don't have one but I used to deal with this kind of machine before when I was working in a fast food chain. I was a part time service crew way back 2007 and it is simply unforgettable knowing that it is my very first job hehe. I didn't stay much longer though.
Anyway, back to Dish washing machine, do you prefer to use such machine rather than using your bare hands? They said that dishwashers can consume less water than the normal hand washing. Well if you are the type of person who don't like leaving mess in your sink and if you don't feel doing the dishes several times a day, therefore, it is better to consider the use of Dishwasher Machine.
Dishwashers will not just lessen your water consumption, they are energy efficient too which may help you cutting down your monthly bills.
However, a regular maintenance should be performed if ever you choose to have such machine in order to provide better and satisfying performance.
You have to clean the machine most especially the filters. It may involve plumbing issues as well since you can connect the machine directly to the system. Dishwashers can be plumbed to wither hot or water supply while others especially the new models, heat their own water inside. You have to contact the best Plumber around so that you will not encounter any plumbing issues frequently. New Job Opportunity

I am really quite busy lately and there are so many things to be done. Aside from my online job, i am now seeking for a new job opportunity. I failed to attend my scheduled job interview yesterday but I didn't do it intentionally. I failed to wake up early and I missed the given schedule to me. I tried to call them and they said asked me to set my own schedule to the most convenient time i have. Of course I didn't tell them that the reason behind my postponed interview is because I woke up late. It's a big mark down for me if ever (sigh). Anyway, they moved the schedule this Wednesday and I hope I can make it this time because they can never give me another chance for sure.
I was able to process my NBI clearance and all I need to do now is to fix my Income Tax Return. To be honest, I really find this thing quite complicated and I don't even know how to prepare my own taxes haha. Calculating those figures will definitely gives me headache. I just hate Math you now haha.
But then again, taxes should be paid and it is a responsibility that every individual should fulfill. I might consider using those online software for income tax preparation or get a Bookkeeping service to help me out.
I might hit Pasig City this Monday. I was last registered there and I have to transfer my registry to another BIR branch. Wish Me luck guys!

Having a healthy life style is something that every individual should establish. There are just too many advantages or benefits we can get from it in return. However, you have to keep in mind that achieving the so called “healthy living” has never been an easy task because it involves hard work, determination, patience and a lot of sacrifices as well. Discipline is the key towards a healthy living and that means, you have to kill those unhealthy habit of yours including the improper diet, smoking, drinking alcohol, lack of exercise and more. It may sounds too demanding for you but you have to remember that you will be doing this for your own good.
►Healthy Foods: You have to established a balanced diet and eat only what is right for your health. Avoid eating in-nutritious foods and check if your weight is right enough for your height. It is actually very ideal now since winter season just arrived. However, we have to keep in mind that these extreme sports can be done only by those professionals but of course there are training schools out there to give you knowledge and skills for these kinds of sports. Another thing to consider here and probably the most important one is your safety. The level of risk in such kind of sport is too dangerous most especially if you will not wear all those necessary protective gears including the snowboarding boots which should be fitted well, the Sunglasses Electric protective gear to prevent possible eye injury and to protect you from the so called Snow blindness as well. Involving yourself in such extreme sports is all up to you as long as you know how to handle the possible risk and as long as you have the right skills to perform such activity.

Today, I'll show you my very own Chomper Clay. Chomper s a multi-use instant kill plant. The Chomper can eat any zombie other than a Gargantuar, Giga-Gargantuar or Dr. Zomboss in one bite - even Zombonis and bobsleds. It will spend about 40 seconds chewing its meal, during which time it is vulnerable and cannot eat another zombie.

Clay Craft # 13 : Sunflower (PvZ)

Before the highly successful Angry Birds, there once the critically acclaimed "Plants vs Zombies"
The Zombies are lurking around your house and they're aiming to eat your brain so to protect yourself, you have to plant these plants on your lawn. Each plants has their own special ability. It's very important to have the Sun Flower in your field because they're the one who collect sun rays which you will use to summon plants in your field.

I used COPPER WIRE to make our Sunflower stand. Simply cover the small piece of copper wire with green clay and attach it on it's head.

My Personal favorite, because of its lightning dash and absolute cuteness. Yellow Bird can pierce through on wood blocks with ease but with a slight weakness on ice. This triangular Bird has a special trait also known as speed booster.

So finally, after that long Dizzy travel with Milzon, We finally reached SM Molino. And since we’re both tired, we decided to take our lunch first. SM Molino is a very small SM branch. It has two floors with 4 Cinemas, 1 department store, series of fast food chains and other common shops. It is not as thrilling and exciting as Mall of Asia but less people are dropping by here, you do not have to wait that long before your foods are being served. Milzon is such a big fan of Mcdonalds but unfortunately, there’s no McD branch here so we ended up hitting Jollibee. I ordered their burger value meal and their new Jollibee float.

Since Milzon needs more energy after his dizzy travel experience, he took a rice meal. He ordered One piece Chicken with Regular coke and a chocolate Sundae.

He’s not a big fan of Jollibee and for him, Jollibee is more like the mortal enemy of Ronald Mcdonald so he felt like betraying Mcdo while were taking lunch at Jollibee. So let Milzon judge the taste by looking at his reactions

So he just ended up taking my Float and satisfied himself with it. Sigh

Clay Craft # 10 : The Blue Bird (Angry Birds)

Here comes another Angry Bird, The Blue Bird! Small but definitely awesome , this one is also known as the Replicate Bird. Once you launch it on the sling shot, click again to scatter shot just like a shotgun. We used it to break blocks of glass or to push some materials to our advantage.

Same procedure with our Red bird but make it a bit smaller. Use acrylic paint for the details.

The most common bird and the most popular in Angry Birds, the Red Bird. It can easily break through glass material and can shatter long and slim wooden material. This one normally just fly and hit.
Sorry guys I don't have any Step by Step photos to share because i made these crafts while my Camera was not working.

But it's really easy to make your own Red bird. Just make a circle, add the feathers (head and tail), then add the beak, and then use Acrylic paint for the other details including the eyes.

These Clay crafts came to me by surprise hehe. Milzon made two of his favorite Pokemon. He showed these to me right after I made my own Pickachu Clay hehe.

Vaporeon and Eevee are two of his favorite Pokemon so I was not really surprised when he came up with Vaporeon and Eevee clay.

I gave him a set of clay (it's not Play Doh, they're Sterling which is much cheaper yet with good quality)

Clay Craft # 7 : Pikachu

Hooray! Finally, I'm calling this day as a start of our Clay Art theme. Take note guys that this will be a "One Art per Day" theme so expect to see new Clay Craft every day. I think that is also the best way to catch those inactive days of ours. Anyway, our Clay Art for today is no other than, Pikachu from Pokemon series.

Of course we need Yellow and Black Modeling clay, white and black acrylic Paint.

Let the pictures speak for themselves. Just make an oval shape like this using the Yellow Clay.

Press the mid portion of it using your finger.

It should be like this.

Set this aside first and let's start making his ears.

Get a small portion of yellow and black clay. (Yellow should be more dominant)

Roll them together.

It should be flattened a bit and make the black portion pointed.

attach the ears to the body

now for the tail, do the same process as what you did with the ears but make this a bit longer.

Milzon's First Drawing Using GIMP Paint Tool

Believe it or not, my desktop wall paper is an art from my little brother. I'm really impressed how creative he is and I'm pretty surprised that he came up with this very amazing drawing.
He used to draw using the Microsoft Paint but when i introduced him GIMP, a software program similar to Adobe Photoshop, he began to explore the software and asked me every details on how to use this and how to use that and so on and so fort.
He's really a fast learner if you asked me and as a matter of fact, he discovered some tools that I'm not really aware of all by himself.
First of all, i would like to clarify that this is not a sponsored post, GIMP is such an amazing software. Well, SAI Paint tool is a nice one but it requires a lot of understandings and you really need the skill so that you can sketch your drawings using only your mouse.

Clay Crafts Theme

Our Little Corners is all set for brand new art crafts this month. I'm sure most of you have noticed that we are not so active in making crafts these past few weeks but we're going to catch things up. It just so happened that I broke my camera so we can't feature any crafts that time and now that my camera is working already, expect bunch of art crafts to come! We had a very successful Cosplay craft last June and thank you guys for your support. Now, for the months of August and September, we will feature another set of crafts, focusing to a specific medium which is clay.Clay is one of my favorite medium because it will give you an opportunity to bring your imagination to live. Here's a promotion banner for our upcoming "Clay Art" theme.
My auntie went to visit us yesterday and she saw some of our crafts and she was pretty impressed with our works. She told me that i should sell some of them online. It was very flattering to hear such compliment from her but i'm not sure if i will be very effective on that hehe.
But I remember when we hit a "Tiyange" (our local term for Bazaar or expo), we saw some stalls selling toy crafts. Well, instead of the typical molding clay, they make use of Polymers. Polymers are clay-like material that can be mold and can be hardened by putting them inside the oven. You can make personalized keychains, earrings and more from it.
Maybe we can start a business like that too. The Tiyange is an annual event and it usually starts around September and October. This is a perfect opportunity to grab. We should register now as early as possible.
We should start buying materials for our trade show booths or better yet use an inexpensive yet very appealing portable displays to attract more buyers. I know it sounds a bit ambitious but we're just after the experience. If it turned out well, then i might take this business seriously. What do yah think?

Dislocated Pelvic Bone

Last week, i was just complaining about my aching lower back (along side with cold sweat and stiff neck) which made me decided to consult our family doctor. I have been complaining about that lower back pain for weeks. I thought i could manage to bear the pain but I just can't take it anymore and I'm really not feeling well about it.
And so after the X-ray, i was diagnosed to have a pelvic bone dislocation. Well, i'm happy that they were able to find out the real reason behind that lower back pain and I'm glad that i was able to confront them immediately before making my condition worst.
At first I thought it has something to deal with my kidney, making me so worried because we all know how fatal it could be when it comes to kidney.
I failed to asked the details about my dislocated pelvic bone but i suspect that it's all because of my work. I've been sitting the whole day in front of my computer and I'm lacking of proper exercise. Oh well, the doctor advised to contact a Physical Therapist or a Chiropractor for my immediate recovery.
He told me that there will be a tendency that this condition will go back if i keep doing the same routine that's why he strongly advised to contact a PT or a chiropractor.
I'm having a regular session now with a PT. I go there every Saturday for a massage though i might consider taking a chiropractic therapy like the one being offered by Chiropractors Olympia in Washington. I have heard so many good things about the service so i might take such therapy soon.

Moments with Kool-Aid

I am not a critic here but i can tell you that we used to choose Kool-Aid over any other brands. Of course I'm not against the other brands here but it's just that we've been drinking Kool-Aid since i was a kid and we get used to it already and it's more like a part of our everyday life already, having Kool-Aid every meal is more like a normal thing to us. Kool-Aid were able to produced a total of 44 delighting and refreshing flavors over the years and my personal pick would be the Strawberry and that's my all time favorite flavor whether it's Ice cream or milk shakes, strawberry flavor never failed to entice me. I know some of you will prefer to have natural fruit drinks but just think of the hours of preparation that you will use for it, I don't think a busy man like me will exert some efforts for it. And besides you can still have that natural-tasting flavors through instant powder juice drink like Kool-Aid. It's refreshing and fun.

Yes! It's fun indeed. I remember the Kool-Aid Magic Twist before (i'm not sure if the flavors still exist) where in the color of the powdered juice will change as soon as you mixed them with water. Even Milzon enjoyed Kool-Aid a lot and used to make fun of his dyed tongue after drinking Kool-Aid. We prepare Kool-Aid the normal way but sometimes we put some twist on it like mixing 2 or 3 different flavors. We used to make "Ice candy" out of Kool-Aid too.

Here's a Lemonade Kool-Aid Ice candy. Ice Candy is one of the usual summer treats here in our country and they are made especially for kids. Clayation # 1

Today, will share you one of my clay creation. It's Agnes from the animated film "Despicable Me". Everything is made out of clay and i used needle pins to attach each of her parts (to make it more firm and steady as well).

I used acrylic paint for the eyes.
I wish i can Polymer clay for this but it's quite expensive here hehe. Polymer clay can be hardened by baking them in the oven and then you can have them as keychain or displays.

Merlion Soap Sculpture

I'm really disappointed on what happened to my pictures. I decided to reformat my PC however, i failed to save a back up copy of the folder that contains all the pictures of our crafts. I lost them all and the only copies I have are the pictures posted here in my blog. I lost almost all of our new and not yet revealed crafts. Thanks God I manage to keep some of them through those image hosting sites like Photobucket and Imageshack ... sigh

Today, will share you a very exciting craft. I made this Soap sculpture a month ago for my cousin's school art project. The materials to be used here are the following. A block of soap, cutter, and pencil.

I wish i can share the step by step process but my pictures, just like what i've said they were accidentally removed from my hard drive after reformatting.
My cousin asked me if i can carve the Merlion( a popular landmark from Singapore , a half lion half mermaid statue). Just draw the image on top of the soap and start carving carefully. A single mistake will ruin your entire craft so just do it gently.

Cat Ears

Here comes the last Cosplay Craft. It's very common in almost all Cosplay especially those Japanese inspired theme. Cat Ears or usually referred as "Nekomimi" is one of the most popular costumes wore by a Cosplayer. Usually wore by girls but boys can have them too.

To make Cat Ears, we need a black colored head band, Glue, Pink Colored paper and cardboard.

Just cut 2 circles on the cardboard.

Just cut a line in the middle of the circle as shown above.

Cut 2 smaller circles on the Pink colored paper and glue them on the bigger ones

Paint the cardboard with white or flesh poster paints

Glue the cut portion as shown above.

Attach them on the headband using glue stick. and you're done

My Diet Plan

They said that the key to a very effective diet is no other than Discipline and that is what i'm lacking right now haha. I just can't stick myself to a specific diet plan. I have tried different diets already but non of them seems to work very effectively on me. Oh well, i'm not that fat but i'm not that fit too that's why i'm taking some desperate measures LOL.
I don't have much time to do regular exercise and there's no place here to jog every morning or perhaps, i'm just so lazy to do them. Discipline is indeed the answer and how i wish i can practice it effectively. I can easily be tempted by those yummy and fattening foods even how much i try to strict myself from eating them. I always end up ruining my entire diet plan, leaving me no choice either to start from scratch or choose another diet plan for me.
I think i gained some pounds lately which made me realized that i should start taking my diet seriously or else I will end up seeing my flabby stomach bouncing up and down every time i move LOL. I might consider taking dietary supplements too but i will ask my friends first because i need doctors recommended weight loss products. With the growing demand of diet pills today, I'm sure many illegitimate companies will take advantage of this and will release products that are not effective and will give nothing but side effects. Buying doctor recommended weight loss pills is really necessary and it's also for your own safety. It's really hard to trust a product unless they are dr approved weight loss pill. These medical experts know what's the best for you and their recommendations are well trusted. Just make sure you ask their advise first before buying any product like diet pills
For the mean time, I'll try to minimize my meals too. I might experience a little hunger but just like what they said, when it comes to diet, when there's no pain, there's no gain!

►As you all know, our Cosplay Craft Theme is about to end this week. We have one more project to share that your kids will surely love. Right now, Milzon and I were busy preparing new set of art crafts. We do not have any specific or particular theme for this month. The picture on the left is just a glimpse of one of our art crafts to be shared on the second quarter of July. Want some hints? Okay here you go, I'll be sharing my first ever soap sculpture, we will make some cool game crafts, I will share some of my clay creation and a whole lot more. I might do a very special handy craft too.
►I just quit my tutorial job few days ago. Sad but i guess this is the best thing to do. I need to focus more on my freelance writing job that's why i have no choice but to give up my tutorial. Well, I didn't give it up completely, I can still teach those kids once in awhile especially if they have exams or heavy assignments. Teaching has always been my passion and if they need my service, I'll be there for them wholeheartedly.
► I know this may sound a little bit off the topic but i really don't mind discussing such matter here on this blog. I just came across one of the page of a health magazine yesterday morning which tackles about contraceptives and Personal lubricants ( ). I know the RH bill is still a hot and undying topic over here and I have mentioned before that I am one of those people who is opposing the said Reproductive Health Bill. I am not in favor for this simply because this bill will somehow make the abortion legal which is a big no no to me! But as for the contraceptive parts, it is definitely a different approach. It is a part of the so called "Family Planning". The use of condoms is not a mandatory thing after all. Limiting the number of kids will be all up to you but of course if you do not want to use contraceptives, please do consider your eligibility to support all your kids. It should also be a mutual decision between you and your partner that's why it is very important that you discuss such matter whether you guys are talking about trojan condoms or that swis navy lubricant being advertised online, you guys should agree to each other. It is not a laughing matter and has to be taken seriously. Aside from the Birth control (for the lack of the better term), these contraceptives promote safer sex too. How To Make Long Sword

This is the second to the last Cosplay Project that we have. This is one of Milzon's most favorite too. We're making Long Sword. The procedure here is almost the same with the Katana Swords.

To start, we need Long flat stick, cardboard, aluminum foil, electrical tape,white glue,colored paper and glue stick.

Draw a huge and long sword pattern on your cardboard. Make it two!

Cut the patterns

Glue them on the flat stick

I prefer Glue Stick to make them more firm and steady.

Now cover the sword with aluminum foil.

Tadah! The aluminum foil will somehow make it a little bit more realistic. You can use silver paint too.

Just add some details on the handle. Cut a pair of circle patterns and glue them on the end of the handle.

Aluminum foil can be very sensitive. It can be tore easily that's why i put electrical tape on all sides.

Making Katana Swords

Today we will make our own version of Katana swords. Katana is a type of Japanese sword that is characterized by its distinctive appearance: a curved, slender, single edged blade, circular or squared guard, and long grip to accommodate two hands.

To Start, we need 2 flat sticks about 18-20 inches long, Acrylic paint, colored paper, card board, glue, glue stick.

Simply draw this pattern on your card board. It is symmetrical so you can just fold the cardboard into two and draw the half of the pattern and cut.

Glue the 1/3 part of the flat stick on the cardboard. Use glue stick and glue gun to make it more firm.

Make another one if you want.

You should have something like this. Glue each side.

Cover the handles using electrical tape.

Paint it using Acrylic Paint. We used white but it all depends on your preference. You can paint it gray or silver to make it more realistic.

Making Naruto Headband

We're down with our fifth Cosplay craft. You can check our previous crafts on our side bar. Today, we're making a craft inspired from one of the most popular anime today, Naruto. Of course, if you want to be like Naruto, then you should have his Headband, symbolizing that you are a part of their team. That's what we're gonna making today.

To start, we simply need a small rectangular piece of cardboard (just right enough for your forehead), a headband (one made out of cloth), 4 single fasteners, white glue

Simply draw the Konoha Symbol

Then after doing the outline using the pencil, start coating the outline with permanent marker

Mix the white glue with water.

Then apply it the the cardboard evenly

This will provide glossy effect to our Konoha sign

Make four small holes on each corner

Then attach the sign board using the single fasteners.

How To Make Fujin

Are you familiar with the Anime "Flame of Recca?" Flame of Recca is an Anime adapted from manga with the same title. The story is about the teenage boy named Recca Hanabishi and his journey to unlock the story behind his past. During the Ura butu Satsugin, a tournament wherein the warriors that wield madōgu gather to battle each other, Recca was accompanied by his friends who possesses magical weapons of Hokage too. They are Max Domon, Dylan Mikagami, Lorkan Koganei and Fuko Kirisawa. Today, we'll focus on Fuko Kirisawa or Aira Kirisawa( in tagalog dubbed version).

She's a boyish girl who yields a so called "Fujin" a powerful madōgu or weapon that controls wind. We're making Fujin today!

All you need are the following: Cardboard, Clay (white, green, orange)

Now here's an easy pattern for you. It should not be as complicated as the real fujin.

Cut the pattern.

Then start covering the pattern with White clay

Flatten the clay using a roller or anything alike.

Do not cover the entire pattern. Leave at least an inch on each sides.

Start putting the designs using clay.

There you go! Our Fujin!

We were all terrified last week on what happened to our neighbor's house. Well, they went on a week-long trip, leaving their house alone and then they were just so surprised and shock after they found out that all their things are swept away. This made me realized how important it is to keep your house safe while you are away.
I might consider installing dead bolt locks and chain locks on all doors of our house to keep all our things secured inside. I will never leave my spare keys on those easy-to-detect areas like under the doormat, over the door or in a flower pot. Do not depend on easily opened snap locks too.

Replacing your garage door is highly advisable since old garage doors are not as durable and can easily be opened by anyone. Cursive Writing 101 : Cursive Letters E, F, and G

Hi guys, will share you another set of Milzon's writing. I'm just having a hard time helping Milzon to correct his "Henmanship" haha. LOL. I used to call it henmanship because he writes like a hen haha. But i'm sure, with continuous practice, he will soon learn how to write well.
Anyway, here's another batch of our cursive writing.

He did pretty well on his "E" but there were some erasures.

His "F" is like a nightmare LOL. He got confused with it which resulted to many erasures too. This one needs a lot of practice.

Anyway, after that horrible "F", he did well on his "G". Much neater than his "E". No erasures, just perfect! Cheers!
By the way remember Milzon's Assignment? I'm right! They had a spelling exam and guess what? Milzon got the highest score. Only him among all his classmates got the highest score. He scored 19/20 , making me sooooo proud... this calls for a celebration yay!
